The Lord provides

This little guy is on our front porch. In my time with Jesus this a.m., I watched the mama and papa birds chirp and watch me and my every move. The mama came within 3 ft. of me. Seems like she is okay with my having quiet times on the porch under the ferns where she decided to lay her egg. To sit and watch her and to water the ferns....and to sit in scripture in my rocking chair - a thing of beauty. It was as if the Lord was reminding me of His love, His provisions, and a re-telling of Jesus speaking of God's love by speaking of the birds. He told of how they do not worry..they do not worry from where their food comes from. They do not tarry over what will spring forth tomorrow. They operate from the now - they (trust) know...that their needs are given, provided for. No worry is in them.

We have lots of birds around our house...we haven't had this in our other homes. It is really a continuous reminder of God's creation! They are always chirping in the a.m. and gently flying from one tree to the other. It is a symphony chorus of the Lord and His greatness.

Today I read about Jesus calling the first disciples. They dropped all they had and gave their lives to Jesus. He taught them of God's love, of God's faithfulness, and how the Lord is their Provider.....and so many more things that come along with walking upright with Jesus.

Seems like the birds have an understanding...a deep trust.

A deep trust I would do well to gain myself.

Thank you, Lord.

Blessings,

-ao
