A Simple Advent reminder

Matthew 5:13-16 NIV84

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

Thinking of today. Of being the "God-flavor of the Earth" (The Advent Party by Buddy Odom). Of preserving that which belongs to the Father. Of remembering that He became a baby...to reveal His love and give me His eternal invite. Thinking of being the "taste of godliness" (the Message bible) and flesh out to others the love of God made known...in Jesus.

Lord, you became a baby for me.

Help me shine. The light of God. Shine like a star that leads the way...to the Christ child...to Gift of God...to the gift of life forever with Him..to peace.

Glad tidings and may we resemble the light of God..as do our Christmas lights and "stars" on our trees.
